The Rickshaw Run Autumn 2010 Route
Fly into Kokata 4th September then spend a couple of day in Darjeeling, chillin’ in the mountians drinking tea.
We then travel up to Gantok and prepare for the run. Final pimpin of the beast and a bit of practice driving to get familar.
Start: Gantok, Sikkim 11th September
Finish: Jaisalmer, Rajasthan 26th September
Below is a map that roughly shows the direction we hope to take…with a few simple objectives:
1. Avoid major cities
2. Travel early in the day – e.g. start at 6am when traffic is light
3. Take plenty of breaks
4. No night driving…EVER
5. We are in India – so we can outsource as much as we need to…maybe even some of the driving??
