The Rickshaw getting tyre repair Day 2 (India – not far from Nepal Border)

Some repair work being done to Lassi in a Nepalese Village (Day 2).

The Hotel we stayed at in Lahan on night of Day 2 in Nepal. Hotels were few and far between in South Eastern Nepal – and this was aptly named the God Huli (those in the know, will know why). Several other teams also stayed here.

Hi, looked at your two photos, look ok, and now look forward to seeing you two with your Rickshaw!!!!
Enjoying all those yummy curries you must be building up your “power” for what lies ahead.
Cheers.
Andrew – We here at Gartner are all so proud of you. Photos are amazing, so when you can, please keep them coming. Take care – be safe and cannot wait to read the next installment!

Interesting photos. Look forward to seeing you both at the wheel of your rickshaw.
Andrew buying stamps photo looks like a time warp back to colonial days. This adventure gets mor interesting each day.
Fantastic photos, good for armchair travel… those who wish to be there but can’t!
I think it would be great to be there.
So far one of the only blogs in the world that has banned the term “lol”. Keep up the great work and the great photos.
What a fearsome beast is the rickshaw. Bit of a problem though !! – why is it dressed in Adelaide AFL colours ?
What happens if you get a flat tyre ? Maybe the tyres are not pneumatic – just solid rubber ?
The colours came about a little different to what we hoped – seems the rain is to blame – but we will work on that over the next couple of days. We have a spare tyre in case of flat one – but only one – so if two go we need to fix one!
I have realised that they are not Adelaide colours but are in fact a clever montage of red, yellow and black. No doubt this represents 2 AFL clubs – Essendon & Richmond. So, because the beloved former Essendon coach was involved with those 2 clubs maybe the rickshaw should be named SHEEDY.
Fixing a rickshaw tyre ??? The mind boggles !!
Hi andrew – Does your Rickshaw have a name? Of all the rickshows, yours seems like a standout! Tell us more about the food – what’s good, what’s bad and what’s unidentifiable….how is the non hotel sleeping – quiet, lumpy, comfortable….or not! Take care and safe travel from here on out. Linda
Look forward to seeing the Rickshaw in all its splendour – love the idea of fluffy dice! Love the little fact/s you are sharing with us. Tea like Red wine and Grange at that – I will be very concerned if you come home converted!

Hi Linda, the Rickshaw is known as “Lassi” – and she is the stand-out for sure – well in our opinion. Thanks for following our progress.
Andrew
Liked the Everest Beer sign. That’s a product that could get you high ! (Guffaw)
Andrew – looks like you have seen more India than I have
Great photos – would like to see a few with you on the driving seat!
Cheers, Kunal
